Abstract

Over the centuries and Continents, the object we call book has taken on different forms from those of the Western. The definition of book found today in dictionaries only describes that of the Western book (the codex). In era of globalization, it is necessary to find a new definition that can identify all forms of the book object. To this end, a brief excursus on the different forms of the book in the world.
